Terms & conditions
The rules for attending The Foundry.
1. The event
The Foundry ("the event") takes place in Mandal, Norway, on June 3-5, 2026. These terms govern your attendance and your purchase of any tickets, accommodation, or related products from The Foundry.
2. Tickets
Tickets are sold through our partner Checkin.no. A ticket is personal but transferable up to the day of the event. We reserve the right to limit the number of tickets per purchaser and to deny access to anyone without a valid ticket.
3. Accommodation bookings
The Foundry Stay is an accommodation booking service for rooms and stays made available by selected hotels and accommodation partners during the event dates. Accommodation is booked separately from your event ticket unless explicitly stated otherwise.
A booking is confirmed when the booking form has been submitted and accepted by our system. You are responsible for entering correct guest, company, invoice, and contact information. If a booking is affected by an obvious pricing, inventory, or technical error, we may contact you to correct the booking, offer a reasonable alternative, or cancel the affected accommodation line.
4. Accommodation payment and invoicing
Accommodation prices are shown in NOK in the booking flow. Business customers may choose EHF invoice where available, or invoice by email. Private and internal bookings are invoiced by email unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment terms, invoice details, and any VAT treatment will be stated on the invoice. The booking remains binding even if invoice details need to be corrected after submission.
5. Accommodation changes, cancellations, and no-show
Accommodation is reserved for specific dates, rooms, and partner locations. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, accommodation bookings are binding once confirmed. There is no statutory right of withdrawal for hotel accommodation reserved for specific dates.
If you need to change or cancel an accommodation booking, contact us as soon as possible at hello@thefoundry.no. We will try to help, but changes, refunds, and cancellations depend on availability, the accommodation partner's conditions, and any commitments already made to the partner.
If you do not show up for a confirmed stay, the accommodation may still be invoiced in full.
6. Hotel partners, check-in, and stay conditions
The accommodation partner is responsible for providing the room or stay at the partner location. Local house rules, check-in and check-out times, age requirements, deposits, incidental charges, and safety rules may apply. Special requests are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
If something is wrong with the accommodation during your stay, notify the accommodation partner immediately and also contact The Foundry so we can help coordinate a solution.
7. Ticket refunds and cancellations
Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the event. After that date, tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person at no cost. If The Foundry is cancelled by us, you will be refunded in full within 30 days.
8. Changes to the program
We reserve the right to change speakers, session times, venues, and the overall program at our discretion. We will communicate meaningful changes as early as possible, but program changes do not entitle you to a refund.
9. Code of conduct
The Foundry is committed to providing a harassment-free environment. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior in any form. Attendees who violate this code may be removed from the event without refund.
10. Photo, video and recording
The Foundry will be photographed, filmed, and recorded. By attending, you consent to being captured in photo and video material that may be used by The Foundry and its partners for marketing, editorial, and archival purposes. If you do not wish to appear in recordings, please notify us at hello@thefoundry.no.
11. Personal data
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Ticket registration data is handled by Checkin.no under their own terms. Accommodation booking data is handled by The Foundry and may be shared with relevant accommodation partners where necessary to deliver the booking.
12. Liability
The Foundry is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Attendees participate at their own risk. Our liability for any claim arising from attendance, tickets, or accommodation is limited to the amount paid to The Foundry for the relevant purchase, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
13. Force majeure
The Foundry is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, governmental actions, and infrastructure failures.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes will be resolved in Norwegian courts.
